Kingsway Christian College was established by four families who were seeking an education for their children based upon strong Christian beliefs and values.

In 1983 a Constitution was drafted and an Association of interested parents was established. As news of the proposed school spread, a steering committee was formed to investigate the establishment of the new Christian school. In February 1984 (on the site of a Baptist church at Craigie) a Year 1-8 school was established with six teachers and one hundred and ten students.  The KCEA Constitution as amended in May 2018 can be accessed here: Kingsway Christian College Constitution Amended 2018
