Ethan 1
Ethan Elliott (Year 9) has returned from the National Under 16 Basketball Championships that were held in Darwin in Australia’s top end in July.

After a lengthy selection process, Ethan was named in the WA U16 Metro Men’s team and  spent much of Term 2 preparing for the Nationals that were held over Week 1 of the Term 2 holidays.

Ethan had the honour of being voted the team’s captain by  the WA coaches and players alike, and was privileged to be the WA flag bearer at the opening ceremony.
The team had two narrow loses during the rounds and narrowly missed the opportunity to play for a medal. They finished in 7th place out of the 15-team field.

Ethan performed extremely well over the tournament leading WA in most statistics recorded and finished in the top five nationally in four of the categories.

Ethan is a member of the College's Specialist Basketball programme where Andy Stewart and his team from Coaching Hoops provide expert coaching as an option that can be taken within a student’s regular timetable.

Well done Ethan and all the best in your future endeavours on the basketball court.
