Second Kingsway Connect Unites Our Community

  • Dates: 14 – 14 Sep, 2018
Alumni Faith Chang,Ashton Watts and Taylor Bergsma
On Friday 14th September, members of our Alumni, staff, parents and Year 11 and 12 students had the opportunity to connect at our second networking event for the year.

2015 graduate, Ashton Watts opened the event in prayer and then Mrs Ronell Fadzi WhandeVermuelen, our Politics and Law teacher introduced our guest speaker, Fadzi Whande, Global Diversity and Inclusion Strategist currently working at UWA and a past parent at the College.

Fadzi gave a dynamic and engaging presentation on the topic of relationships. She encouraged students past and present to appreciate the strong values that Kingsway instils and urged them to have the courage to take their Christian faith out into the world. She gave a memorable illustration on the difference between diversity and inclusion – “diversity means being asked to the party but inclusion is being asked to dance.”

Some lucky participants went away with a door prize and everyone lingered to chat over a delicious finger food breakfast and barista coffee, which were provided in-house by our Year 11 and 12 Hospitality students.
