Jesse Chester-Browne Wins Arts Faculty Art Award

The Kingsway Christian College Arts Faculty award recognizes a Year 12 student of excellence in Drama, Media, Music or Visual Art to receive $500.00 towards their creative, technical skills development, in support of their Year 12 academic Arts studies. The award’s submission from students requires individuals to submit an Arts C.V. of their time in the College, including any Arts based community events and or exhibitions, they may have participated during this time.
The winner of the 2017 Arts Faculty Arts Award is ATAR Music student, Jesse Chester-Browne. Jesse has a passion for Music performance and is a member of the College’s Vocal Ensemble, Worship Band and Swing Band. A talented singer, Jesse has also performed with excellence in multiple Kingsway Christian College Open Nights and Music Showcase Evenings. In addition to her creative gifts, Jesse is a strong academic ATAR Music student, who has received the academic Music Subject Award for highest achievement 2013 – 2016.
An avid supporter of the Arts in the College Jesse has frequently participated in the annual Inter-House Arts Festival and has demonstrated her passion for Drama and Music performance, through her involvement in College productions. In 2014 Jesse featured as a cast member in the College’s Production “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”. This year Jesse will feature in the College’s dynamic Production of “Peter Pan”, in the role of Wendy.  
Following her Year 12 graduation, Jesse intends to pursue her dream of studying classical singing and opera performance at WAPPA. During her tertiary studies she hopes to undertake exchange to further her Music studies at the Amsterdam School of the Arts or The London School of Music. The College congratulates Jesse on her award and wishes her every success in her Year 12 studies and exciting, future Arts career endeavours.
