Individual Stars at Interschool Swimming Carnival

The College would like to congratulate the following two Year 12 students for their outstanding individual efforts at the ACC Interschool Swimming Carnival which was held in March.

Sarah Kubitza swam an amazing set of races on the day, with a heavy race schedule and minimal recovery time between several races. Sarah not only managed to come away with several first places but emerged female champion for the Open age category for the meet.

Luan Louw achieved a feat not seen before at Kingsway in the seven years we have been a part of the ACC competition. Each year, an All Star squad is picked from across all eight divisional carnivals. The squad comprises the best swimmers from each event picked from across all eight carnivals and divisions. This allows individual brilliance to be recognised regardless of school size and performance. This year, with a blistering time of 25.98sec, Luan earned the All Star place of Open Male 50m freestyle and also a spot in the 4 x 50m freestyle relay. Being the fastest Open male out of over 250 male swimmers representing that age group is something of which Luan should be truly proud.
