On Tuesday, 29th October, the Primary Choir, under the able directorship of Mrs Gillian Parker, accompanied by other staff members as well as members of the P&F went to the Brightwater Madeley Retirement Village. They shared a range of songs that they had been working on this year and to give out floral bouquets which came from the gardens of Kingsway families and were made into bunches by the hardworking members of the P&F.
Our students were warmly welcomed at the aged care facility, and they sang and delighted their audience especially with their lively version of “This Little Light of Mine” which had the audience clapping and singing along. Thanks go to Mrs Celesti Weck who accompanied the choir on the keyboard. At the end of the performance the choir members were delighted to be able to give out flowers. This event is part of the College’s ongoing relationship with two local retirement complexes in the area.
“The morning was such an amazing time of encouragement as our wonderful choir sang & gave out flowers from the college community. I am always amazed at the gratitude & heart felt warmth from the residents & staff of Brightwater. It is one of our highlights in being a blessing to the community that surrounds our school!”
