The Primary Easter Service was held on the last Thursday of Term 1. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the meaning of Easter just before the holiday weekend.
The Primary choir started the programme with the National Anthem followed by two stirring and well-rehearsed items. They were followed by performances from both the Strings and the after-school recorder club who showcased some of the many exciting music opportunities offered at the College.
Our Senior College Chaplain, Mrs Debra Kerbey then spoke on the Easter Story and explained why it is called ‘Good Friday’ as Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection were all about God’s plan to make wrong things right. Mrs Kerbey involved five Primary students who dramatically illustrated the story.
Mr Quinlivan closed the Assembly in prayer and parents were invited to stay on for morning tea and hot cross buns.
